Our Heritage Assets

Hunter Water’s heritage assets represent a rich heritage of over 100 years of work to collect, treat and deliver fresh water to consumers, remove, treat and dispose of the region’s wastewater, and maintain efficient and effective drainage of stormwater. Hunter Water’s assets include both those developed by Hunter Water throughout its history of operations, as well as those that are the legacy of independent local and state government development.

Our Heritage Conservation Register

At present, the Hunter Water Heritage Conservation Register contains 45 items, including items of state and local heritage significance. All items identified as having State heritage significance are also listed on the State Heritage Register, maintained by the Heritage Council of NSW.
