Asset location plans
Before you start any work on your your property, you need to check where underground pipes and other assets are located.
You can do this by choosing from two types of plans:
Asset Location Plan (previously Service Location Plan)
An asset location plan shows where Hunter Water pipes and other assets are. You can request a plan through our Property Self Service Portal. Fee: $14.10
About Asset Location Plans
- Asset location plans show the location of water and sewer mains, hydrants, sewer manholes (maintenance structures) and other Hunter Water fixtures.
- They don't show your home’s internal plumbing or drainage. A licensed plumber is the best contact.
- They don't include stormwater pipes and systems within or near your property. Your local council is the best contact.
- If your property is in a new subdivision that hasn't been registered, we won’t be able to provide a diagram just yet. You can apply again once it’s registered with Land Registry Services.
Sale of a property application requests
If you are a solicitor or conveyancer requesting a property sale application, use a participating Land Registry Services (LRS) broker to request a sewer location diagram.
