Hydraulic designs must be prepared and submitted to Hunter Water upon but not limited to the following circumstances; when the water meter is to be greater than or equal to 32 mm, installation or alteration of a trade waste facility or dedicated fire service and large or complex installations as specified in Hunter Water’s Land Development Manual, available on the Design and construction standards and manuals page of the website.
Shutdown and connection
Connection to existing water system
This fee applies when the developer elects to insert a tee and valve in order to connect a major development to the water supply system. This fee covers assessment of most appropriate shutdown method, shutdown and recharge mains. Additional charges may apply for water tanker cartage or for Hunter Water standby rates.

Determining charges
