Easy Pay - smaller, regular payments

Easy Pay makes it easier to manage your water bill by breaking it into smaller, regular direct debit instalments. You choose the frequency, and we'll do the calculations for you.

How Easy Pay works

  • You set up Easy Pay in My Account as a direct debit.
  • Choose to pay weekly, fortnightly or monthly on a day that suits you.
  • Our system works out your instalment amount based on your chosen payment frequency and the total of your bills from the past 12 months.
  • We review your account each year and adjust your instalment to keep your balance on track.

Annual review

Once a year, our system reviews and adjusts your instalment amount to keep your balance on track.

If your usage has changed, your instalment amount will go up or down. We’ll let you know if anything changes, there’s nothing you need to do.

Change or cancel

You can update or cancel your Easy Pay arrangement at any time through My Account. If you stop Easy Pay, your account will return to normal billing.

Fees and charges

  • Easy Pay is free to set up and use.
  • No interest is charged if you use the instalment amount our system generates.
  • If a payment can’t be processed due to insufficient funds, a dishonour fee may apply.

My Account is a secure online service that helps you manage your Hunter Water account anywhere, anytime. As well as staying on top of your water bills, you can:

  • see your current bill and check past payments
  • check your account balance and due date
  • ask for more time to pay.

Set your own instalment amount

If you want to choose your own instalment amount, you can schedule payments using BPAY.

Just keep in mind your chosen amount may not match your bill, which could leave you with a credit or an amount still to pay.
