Through regeneration and restoration, we can make a lasting impact on the local environment and help the flora and fauna that call the bush home.
Community planting day near Grahamstown Dam, 2024
During the October 2024 school holidays, the local community and our staff come together for a planting day near Grahamstown Dam. It was a huge success, with 75 participants getting 1,100 plants in the ground, including 272 grasses, 355 shrubs, and 523 trees.
This project has been assisted by the NSW Government through its Environmental Trust.

Our community planting days are on Hunter Water owned land to help rehabilitate and regenerate areas in which we operate.

Everyone's welcome! We hope to bring together residents, local schools, community groups and Hunter Water staff to participate in our community planting events.

What do I need to bring?
Enclosed shoes, long sleeves and long pants, hat, gardening gloves, sunscreen, mosquito repellent and water. And a can-do attitude!
