Our career pathways
Here at Hunter Water, we have a number of programs which enable people in our community to gain experience in and exposure to the wide range of careers available in the water industry.
Our career pathways outlined below include our Graduate Development Program with Lake Macquarie City Council, Work Experience Program and Indigenous and Disability Scholarships.
Work experience at Hunter Water provides students with hands-on experience and teaches them valuable workplace skills. See what we offer and how you can apply to work with our team.
This scholarship has been established to assist a student with a disability with their studies through financial support. There's also the opportunity of paid work experience for the successful recipient and potentially a graduate position at the completion of their degree.
This scholarship provides an opportunity for an Indigenous student to gain support with their studies through financial assistance. We also offer the opportunity of paid work experience for the successful recipient and potentially a graduate position at the completion of their degree.
Hunter Water and Lake Macquarie City Council have partnered to offer a graduate program providing young professionals the opportunity to develop their professional and technical skills across two diverse organisations.
The graduate program is for two years of fixed-term full-time employment with either Hunter Water Corporation or Lake Macquarie City Council. As part of the program, each successful applicant will spend 12 months with each organisation.
This program was launched in 2019 with the successful graduate candidates commencing in 2020. This program will be open for applications again in 2021.
