Hunter Water's Community Funding Program lets us give something back to the local community. By identifying and supporting the local organisations that reflect our vision, mission and corporate objectives, we can build strong and lasting relationships with our many stakeholders, including customers, industry, and the wider community in which we operate.
2012-13 Community Funding Program
Applications for the 2012-13 Community Funding Program have now closed.
The Community Funding Program engages a wide range of community and industry-related groups to deliver diverse events and projects across our entire area of operations. The program is spilt into the following areas:
Corporate Sponsorships
Hunter Water's Corporate Sponsorships aim to align with other organisations to achieve our corporate objectives and key actions such as:
- providing superior customer service
- ensuring sustainable use of natural resources
- minimising our ecological footprint
- balancing demand with a sustainable water supply
- ensuring there is enough water for our community today and in the future
- be the trusted provider of highly valued water services and information
- understanding and addressing the individual needs and wants of customers
- protecting people's health and enhance the environment
- increasing competitiveness and value delivered to the community
In 2010, Hunter Water announced three-year partnerships with the following six organisations:

Community Grants
Community grants Provide localised funding to give direct benefit to the community, reflect Hunter water's vision, mission and corporate objectives, and focus on water conservation, sustainability and environmental and social outcomes.

Employee Funding
Hunter Water's employee funding provides opportunities for employees to participate in community events which support Hunter Water's core values. The funding is for teams of staff participating in local activities, not individuals.
In 2012-13, Hunter Water funded the following employee teams:

- Adventure Racing
