Planning approval for Belmont Desalination Plant

Hunter Water welcomes the NSW Government’s announcement that planning approval has been issued by the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment for a desalination plant at Belmont to produce up to 30 million litres a day of drinking water in response to drought.

Throsby Creek mangrove maintenance work complete

Work to remove a small area of juvenile mangroves and sediment from Throsby Creek, near the Union Street footbridge in Tighes Hill, is now complete.

Tank traps re-located to protect land and improve security

Some of the concrete tank traps, removed from the shoreline in October 2020, have been relocated toward the front of Hunter Water’s land along Fullerton Street, Stockton.

Commissioning and sewer connection availability announced

Hunter Water is pleased to announce the commissioning and availability of sewer connections as part of the Wyee Sewer Scheme, from 1 June 2021.
