Hunter Water has completed the wastewater system upgrade in the Mayfield area, which includes a new wastewater pumping station in Silsoe Street, Mayfield.
The construction of a new 3km wastewater pipeline between the wastewater pumping station and Broadmeadow has been completed in the streets and parks of Mayfield, Georgetown and Hamilton North. This pipeline connects the new pumping station to the existing wastewater pipeline in Broadmeadow.
The upgrade will provide the backbone for a series of upgrades that will reduce wet weather sewerage overflows in the Mayfield area providing a benefit to the environment and local community.
