The Maitland Local Government Area is one of the fastest growing regions in NSW.
To service this growth, Hunter Water has upgraded the local sewerage system. This upgrade will improve system reliability and further capacity for residential and industrial growth in Rutherford, Largs, Aberglasslyn and Farley.
A component of the works involves the installation of 3km of new sewer pipes along Racecourse Road and Norm Chapman Oval, Rutherford.
Construction along Racecourse Road in Rutherford commenced in February 2012, with works completed by October 2012.
