Aberglasslyn Wastewater System Upgrade

Overview

The Maitland Local Government Area is one of the fastest growing regions in NSW.

To service this growth, Hunter Water is upgrading the local sewerage system. This upgrade will improve system reliability and further capacity for residential and industrial growth in Rutherford, Largs, Aberglasslyn and Farley.

A component of the works involves the installation of 3km of new sewer pipes along Racecourse Road and Norm Chapman Oval, Rutherford.

How this might affect you?

Construction along Racecourse Road in Rutherford commenced in February 2012, with works expected to be completed by October 2012 depending on weather.

During the works some homes and businesses may have temporary access disruptions. Measures are being taken to minimise any impacts generated by the works.

Your patience is appreciated as we undertake these essential construction works.
