Hunter Water will be installing solar panels on the roof of its Head Office building located on Honeysuckle Drive.
Wastewater System Upgrade Archives

Timeframe: Complete in January 2013
Hunter Water has undertaken a staged upgrade of the existing wastewater system in Kurri Kurri.

Location: Selected areas of Mayfield
Timeframe: August and September 2012
Hunter Water is inspecting the wastewater system in Mayfield, undertaking visual inspections, smoke and dye testing of customer's properties and Hunter Water assets to find areas where excess stormwater is entering the wastewater system.

Location: Merewether
Timeframe: Completed October 2011
Hunter Water has undertaken maintenance work to the Emergency Relief Structure which is located next to Merewether Baths.
Wastewater System Upgrade Archives

Location: Morpeth, Maitland and Thornton
Timeframe: 2 years
Hunter Water is carrying out upgrade works to the Morpeth wastewater system due to growth in the Maitland, Morpeth and Thornton areas.

Location: Paxton
Timeframe: Completed March 2011
Hunter Water has upgraded the Paxton Wastewater Treatment Works to provide additional treatment capacity in order to service unsewered homes at Millfield and Ellalong. The upgrade also caters for anticipated population growth over the next 20 years.

Location: Raymond Terrace
Timeframe: June 2011 - June 2012
Hunter Water is currently upgrading the Raymond Terrace wastewater system.
This work will reduce the frequency of sewage overflows occurring during wet weather, providing benefits for the local community and environment.

Location: Shortland
Timeframe: Completed
Hunter Water has upgraded the wastewater system in Shortland.
The work will cater for future population growth and will provide customer and environmental benefits by reducing wet weather overflows in the area.

Timeframe: Completed
The Shortland Wastewater Treatment Works Stage 3 Upgrade commenced in June 2011 and is complete.

Hunter Water has undertaken construction works to rehabilitate degraded sections of the Throsby Creek embankment.
