Future leader set to make waves in water industry program

Molly Bennett is one of just a handful of young professionals selected to take part in the Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) Young Utility Leaders Program.

Working at Hunter Water for almost four years, Molly is currently a member of the Customer Accounts and Billing Team, playing an important role in ensuring customer accounts are correctly set up and charged in line with the IPART Determination.

“I love working at Hunter Water and the people I get to work with every day.

“Being accepted into the WSAA Young Utility Leaders Program is an incredible honour and a great opportunity for me to further develop my skills as a future leader. I’m really looking forward to being able to represent Hunter Water in a broader context,” Molly said.

The program brings together passionate young professionals from across the water industry to collaborate, receive mentorship and help shape the sector’s future.

“I’m excited to get to work with other emerging leaders and the mentorship I’ll receive throughout the program.

“The application process was quite straightforward, especially with the support from my Team Leader and Group Manager. I had to film a two-minute pitch about why I wanted to be part of the program and include a letter of support from Hunter Water with my application.”

When they’re not at work, Molly enjoys catching up with friends, going to the gym, travelling, and taking her pet Cavoodle Louie for walks.
