The property owner and/or occupier is required to ensure the pre-treatment facility is maintained in an operational condition. This includes, but is not limited to, scheduled cleanout of the facility by an accredited contractor, ensuring the integrity of the facility and relative infrastructure to prevent environmental contamination, ensuring safe access for inspection and maintenance.

The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of NSW (IPART) today announced that water prices for a residential house in the lower Hunter will go up by less than the rate of inflation for each of the next 4 years, commencing 1 July 2013.
