Heavy rain is causing widespread wastewater system impacts. We are prioritising workload to respond. If you have internal wastewater surcharge, property damage, safety concerns, or similar urgent situation, please call Hunter Water on 1300 657 000. If not, please call 30 minutes after rain has stopped to report your issue.
Smart Water Choices are our region’s permanent water conservation measures and help our community continue to save water for future dry periods.

We recognise that water is crucial to economic activity and community life however water is a finite resource so we need to save it now, for the future.
Customers who are unable to comply with Smart Water Choices are required to apply for an exemption. Exemption requests will be assessed on an individual basis.
If you are filling or refilling a large swimming pool or spa, you can apply for a Smart Water Choices pool permit.
