What you need to know
Water restrictions apply to outdoor and indoor water use and by making small changes to the way you use water at home, we can save a lot.
We recognise that water is crucial to economic activity and community life and we are providing support to our business customers during restrictions.
Customers who are unable to comply with the water restrictions are required to apply for an exemption. Exemption requests will be assessed on an individual basis.

Level 1 water restrictions apply to all properties connected to Hunter Water's water supply network in the areas of Cessnock, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Newcastle, Port Stephens, Dungog and small parts of Singleton. Click here to view a map of our area of operations.
