Our heritage assets

Hunter Water’s heritage assets represent 130 years of work in collecting, treating and delivering fresh water to consumers, removing, treating and disposing of the region’s wastewater, and maintaining efficient and effective drainage of stormwater.

Our assets include those constructed by Hunter Water throughout our history of operations, and those passed to us from other local and state government organisations.

Our heritage conservation register

The Hunter Water Heritage and Conservation Register contains 42 items, one of these being the Newcastle Reservoirs Site, which is also listed on the State Heritage Register due to being of State heritage significance.

The items are categorised by asset type - water, sewer, stormwater and other. Information about each of these 42 items is available below.
