Advantages of Industrial Reuse

Providing Recycled Water to industrial customers is an excellent way to save drinking water supplies while reducing the amount of effluent discharged to local waterways. The use of Recycled Water also presents operation cost reductions as recycled water is generally cheaper than drinking water.

Currently Industrial use of recycled water accounts for 40 per cent (based on 08/09 usage) of Hunter Water's Recycled Water Use which equates to just over 2061ML (2061 million litres) of drinking water saved.
