Water Treatment

1. 

   Grahamstown Water Treatment Plant Upgrade

   Location: Tomago

   Timeframe: April 2012 - June 2013

   Hunter Water is currently upgrading the electrical switchroom at the Grahamstown Water Treatment Plant to ensure a reliable water service is provided to customers now and into the future.

2. Water Transfer

   1. 

      Cessnock Water Supply Upgrade

      Location: Cessnock

      Timeframe: March 2012 - June 2013

      Hunter Water is currently upgrading the water infrastructure in the Cessnock area to cater for future growth and to improve water security and reliability.
   2. 

      Maitland North Rothbury Water Supply Upgrade

      Location: Lochinvar

      Timeframe: March 2012- March 2014

      Has begun on the water pump station in Telarah and additional watermain from Maitland to Telarah. The duration of these works will be one year from commencement.
   3. 

      Watermain Replacement Program

      Location: Across Hunter Water’s area of operations

      Timeframe: ongoing

      Hunter Water is improving the water supply system by replacing aged and damaged watermains across our network.
