      Timeframe: April 2012 - March 2013

      Hunter Water is currently upgrading the electrical switchroom at the Grahamstown Water Treatment Plant to ensure a reliable water service is provided to cusotmers now and into the future.

    1. Cardiff South Water Pumping Station

      Cardiff South Water Pumping Station Upgrade

      Location: Cardiff South

      Timeframe: March - June 2012

      Cardiff South Water Pump Station is being upgraded to improve the efficiency of the station to reduce operating costs. The upgrade will include installation of new electrical components and the addition of stairs to the building to improve emergency access.

      Timeframe: March 2012 - March 2013

      Hunter Water is currently upgrading the water infrastructure in the Cessnock area to cater for future growth and to improve water security and reliability.

      Chichester Trunk Gravity Main Upgrade - Beresfield to Stoney Pinch Reservoir

      Location: John Renshaw Drive

      Timeframe: May 2011 - May 2012

      Hunter Water is currently upgrading a 2.7 km section of the Chichester Trunk Gravity Main between Beresfield and Stoney Pinch Reservoir.
    4. Fletcher Trunkmain Thumbnail

      Fletcher Trunkmain Upgrade

      Location: Lenaghans Drive, Lenaghan

      Timeframe: To be completed May 2012

      The Fletcher trunkmain runs from Wallsend Water Pumping Station to Stoney Pinch Reservoir, crossing the Hexham Swamp Wetland between Fletcher and Lenaghans Drive.
    5. South Wallsend Water Supply Thumbnail

      Macquarie Road Watermain Upgrade

      Location: Macquarie Road, Warners Bay

      Timeframe: Late 2012 - Early 2013

      Hunter Water is planning to construct a new watermain along Macquarie Road between Macquarie Hills and Warners Bay. This work will cater for population growth and address low water pressure problems experienced by some customers.
    6. Maitland North Rothbury thumnail

      Maitland North Rothbury Water Supply Upgrade

      Location: Lochinvar

      Timeframe: March 2012- March 2013

      Work has commenced on the construction of a new 10 megalitre reservoir and lead in watermain in Winders Lane Lochivar as part of a six-stage upgrade of the water supply system within the Maitland and North Rothbury area from 2007-2013.
    7. Rathmines Water Main Upgrade Thumbnail

      Location: Rathmines and Balmoral

      Timeframe: 3 months

      Hunter Water is upgrading the watermain system in Rathmines and Balmoral. This work will ensure the water supply to these areas remains safe and secure.
    8. Wallsend Water Pump Station Thumbnail

      Wallsend Water Pump Station Upgrade

      Location: Newcastle Road, Wallsend

      Timeframe: July 2011 - June 2012

      Current works to the Wallsend Water Pump Station aim to upgrade the capacity of the pump station to cater for future demand on the water system in the Lower Hunter and improve system reliability.
