      Timeframe: August 2011 - June 2012

      Hunter Water is undertaking the Stage 2 upgrade of the Burwood Beach Wastewater Treatment Works from August 2011 through to June 2012. Planning is also underway for a Stage 3 upgrade of the for the Burwood Beach Wastewater Treatment Works.

      Timeframe: Completed March 2011

      Hunter Water has upgraded the Paxton Wastewater Treatment Works to provide additional treatment capacity in order to service unsewered homes at Millfield and Ellalong. The upgrade also caters for anticipated population growth over the next 20 years.

    1. Aberglasslyn Wastewater Transfer Scheme

      Aberglasslyn Wastewater System Upgrade

      Location: Rutherford, Largs and Farley

      Timeframe: January 2012 - October 2012

      Hunter Water is currently upgrading the Aberglasslyn wastewater system to improve system reliability and to cater for population growth in Rutherford, Largs, Aberglasslyn and Farley.
    2. Adamstown Wastewater Transfer Upgrade Thyumbnail

      Adamstown Wastewater System Upgrade

      Location: Adamstown

      Timeframe: November 2011 - November 2012

      Hunter Water is currently constructing a new wastewater system in Adamstown to reduce wastewater overflows and provide benefits to the local community and environment.

      Location: Metford, Woodberry, Thornton and Beresfield

      Timeframe: Initial planning and investigations underway until 2012

      Hunter Water plans to undertake an upgrade to the storage capacity within the wastewater system at Woodberry, Metford, Thornton and Beresfield.
    4. Cardiff Wastewater Treatment Plant

      Cardiff Wastewater Pump Station Upgrade

      Location: Argenton

      Timeframe: November 2010 - May 2012

      Hunter Water is currently upgrading the Cardiff wastewater pump station to ensure this infrastructure continues to meet the needs of the growing population. The work will also reduce the frequency of wet weather sewage flows reaching Lake Macquarie.
    5. Clarence Town Sewerage Scheme Thumbnail

      Timeframe: Completed March 2012

      The reticulated sewerage system in Clarence Town has been completed and is now available for connection. The scheme provides enhanced sewerage services to improve our waterways and social and public health benefits for the community.

    6. Kurri Kurri Wastewater Pump Station Upgrade

      Location: Kurri Kurri

      Timeframe: Complete by December 2011

      Hunter Water is undertaking a staged upgrade of the existing wastewater system in Kurri Kurri.
    7. Maryland Wastewater Treatment Works Thumbnail

      Maryland Wastewater System Upgrade

      Location: Maryland

      Timeframe: -

      Hunter Water proposes to upgrade the existing sewer system in Maryland by constructing approximately 1km of new sewer pipe.
