Macquarie Road Watermain Upgrade

Overview

South Wallsed Water Supply

Hunter Water is planning to construct a new watermain along Macquarie Road between Macquarie Hills and Warners Bay.

The aim of these works is to cater for population growth and address low water pressure problems experienced by some customers.

How this might affect you?

While all work will be undertaken in the road shoulder or on footpaths, not on private property, the contractor undertaking the works will be required to have a Traffic Control Plan in place to manage traffic during the works period.

For the safety of our contractors and the community, access may also be reduced in some areas along the Macquarie Road service road and also along Queen Street.

Residents may notice an increase in noise and dust during this time, however measures will be taken to minimise any impacts generated by the works.

Your patience is appreciated as we undertake these essential construction works.

Work is expected to commence in late 2012.
