Fletcher Trunkmain Upgrade

Overview

Fletcher Trunkmain Image

The Fletcher trunkmain runs from Wallsend Water Pumping Station to Stoney Pinch Reservoir, crossing the Hexham Swamp Wetland between Fletcher and Lenaghans Drive. Approximately 4,500 connections in Maryland, Fletcher, Minmi and Black Hill rely on the trunkmain for their water supply.

Hunter Water is currently repairing a 2.2km section of the Fletcher trunkmain across the Hexham Swamp Wetlands between the old Richmond-Pelaw rail corridor and Lenaghans Drive.

The works commenced in mid November 2011 and is likely to be completed by May 2012.
