In 2009, Hunter Water formed an Alliance partnership with CH2M HILL and Abigroup to undertake $240 million worth of wastewater treatment works upgrades over the next five years.

    Boulder Bay Wastewater Treatment Works Upgrade

    Location: Fingal Bay

    Hunter Water has upgraded the Boulder Bay Wastewater Treatment Works (WWTW) to cater for projected growth on the Tomaree Peninsula and anticipated increases in loads during peak holiday periods. The upgrade will also improve the quality of biosolids leaving the site for reuse in agriculture.
