Ongoing surveillance and maintenance of Hunter Water’s existing systems ensures customers continue to receive high quality water and wastewater services.

  1. Flowmeter Installation

    Flow Meter Installation Program

    Location: The Hill, Valentine, Bellbird, Glendale

    Timeframe: ongoing

    Hunter Water places flow meters on the water distribution system to help identify where leaks occur. Approximately 80 flow meters are already in operation and over the next five years, Hunter Water proposes to install an additional 40 flow meters within our area of operations.

    Throsby Creek Bank Rehabilitation Works

    Location: Maryville and Tighes Hill

    Timeframe: Expected to be completed by May 2012

    Hunter Water is undertaking construction works to rehabilitate degraded sections of the Throsby Creek embankment.

    Watermain Replacement Program

    Location: Across Hunter Water’s area of operations

    Timeframe: ongoing

    Hunter Water is improving the water supply system by replacing aged and damaged watermains across our network.
