Leukaemia Foundation | World's Greatest Shave
World's Greatest Shave is one of Australia's biggest fundraising events. Money raised is used by the Leukaemia Foundation to fund free services to support patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders. It also funds blood cancer research to find better treatments and cures.
In 2012 (for the seventh year) Hunter Water will participate and organise the event working in partnership with the Honeysuckle Business District - Sparke Helmore, GHD, Hunter Development Corporation, Hansen Yuncken and NIB. Last year our combined fundraising efforts saw us raise over $55,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation.

Camp Quality | Giggle Ball
There are approximately 15,000 children between the age of 0-18yrs living with cancer in Australia today. The great news is that 7 out of 10 children diagnosed with cancer survive. The challenge is that the majority of these will have one or more chronic health problems as a direct result of their treatment. Many may also suffer social and development challenges due to having these experiences so young. With 37% of families borrowing money due to the financial effects of having a young person with cancer there is constant stress on the family budget, in many cases a simple weekend away to rejuvenate and reduce the stress of cancer would be unaffordable. All Camp Quality programs are provided free of charge to all registered families who have a child living with cancer.
The Giggle Ball is an important fundraising event, in the Camp Quality calendar and Hunter Water is proud to be a Silver Sponsor in 2011.

The Mills Sisters
Leanna (15) and Bethany Mills (13) of Pelican, are the only two children known in the world to have been diagnosed with the rare, progressive, degenerative neurological disorder, featuring their unique combination of symptoms. There is no known cure and treatment is severe and often debilitating.
The aim of their campaign is to appeal to the generosity of all Australians, individuals and businesses, to raise enough money to help cover the cost of care, ongoing essential trips to France and importantly, improve the quality of life the girls desperately need by providing them with a purpose built home that will accommodate their needs.
Hunter Water is proud to support this worthy charity.
