The extreme storms and flooding caused extensive power interruptions that impacted on Hunter Water's ability to maintain supply to about 6,000 properties. The storm event also led to a number of significant and costly repairs to Hunter Water's infrastructure.

Just over $2 million was spent on repairing stormwater and wastewater systems as well as electrical switchboards.
