The program includes several streets throughout Newcastle and aims to help households reduce their footprint through energy and water efficiency, as well as waste reduction, composting and community gardening.
Each month the streets have a focus area, and June is water. Hunter Water has provided educational material on water efficiency as well as providing water saving devices, such as tap aerators, trigger nozzles and water saving showers for participants. During June Hunter Water will also be holding a water workshop for the participating households.
