Hunter Region Landcare Network

The Hunter Water Landcare Assistance Fund has been operating since 2003.

The fund offers financial assistance to landcare groups, schools and communities within Hunter Water’s area of operations.Applications for funding are initiated to support small community projects and environmental improvements.

All applications are assessed on merit in accordance with set guidelines, and there are also guidelines for monitoring project implementation.

Due to this funding, a number of schools and community groups have been able to engage in environmental activities ranging from tree planting, building organic gardens, improving and conserving water and erosion control.
