Cadetships

Cadets are employed as undergraduates and supported through the course of their studies while undertaking work assignments to provide hands-on experience. All positions are located at our Head Office in Newcastle.

Cadets will typically undertake work assignments on a project basis with Supervisors ensuring that outcomes are defined, resources made available and appropriate training and support provided. Projects are selected on the basis that they complement, where possible, subjects undertaken at University.

There are two primary Rotation Circles – Business/Finance and Engineering, with a minimum period for all Cadets in Field Operations.

UNISS Scholarships

The University of Newcastle has a scholarship scheme known as UNISS. The scholars are drawn from a variety of disciplines. Hunter Water provides rotation opportunities for successful UNISS scholars across the organisation throughout the duration of their scholarship.

Further information about the UNISS program can be accessed through the University of Newcastle at http://www.newcastle.edu.au/uniss/index.html .
