Our Managing Director, Kevin Young, has been recently appointed as Chair of the Water Services Association of Australia and Dr Brendan Berghout awarded the GN Alexander Medal by the National Committee of Water Engineering.
Mr Young was appointed as Chair of the Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) the peak water industry body representing 34 urban water businesses providing services to 16 million Australians. His appointment for two years follows service with WSAA as a member of the Board and Chairman of the WSAA Asset Management Committee. Mr Young said it was an honour to lead the WSAA, the national voice of the urban water industry, speaking to government, the broader water sector and the Australian community.
Continuing to highlight our expertise within the Australia water industry is Water Resources Planning Engineer, Dr Berghout, who was awarded the GN Alexander Medal by the National Committee on Water Engineering (NCWE) for the best paper in hydrology and water resources in an Australian publication over the past 18 months. Dr Berghout was recognised for his paper Incorporating Drought Management Planning into the Determination of Yield, which he presented at the Water Down Under 2008 conference in Adelaide from 15-17 April 2008.
