Earth Hour - Step it Up!
Hunter Water encourages everyone to participate in this weekend’s Earth Hour event. Between 8.30-9.30pm, Saturday 28 March 2009, businesses and households are encouraged to switch off lights and appliances.
This weekend, Hunter Water is committed to switching off:
- Computers
- Photocopiers and printers
- Unnecessary lighting
- Phone chargers
- Air-conditioning equipment
- Vending machines
- Water heaters and coolers
While encouraging members of the community switch off:
- All unnecessary lights
- Air conditioning
- Television
- Clothes Dryer
- Dishwasher
- Kettle
- Stove/cooking appliances
- Electronic equipment and chargers
- Second fridge
- Hot water taps and showers
