Raymond Terrace Wastewater Treatment Works Upgrade
Raymond Terrace WWTW was first upgraded in 2000 to a capacity capable of providing service to 24,500 people. At this time, future upgrades of the plant were also planned for stages 2 and 3, knowing there would be future population growth requiring further upgrades to meet demand for service.
Due to the rapid rate of growth seen since 2000, stages 2 and 3 have been combined and the upgrade will increase capacity of the plant to cater for 35,000 people. This will enable us to meet the future needs of the community while continuing to maintain a high standard of treatment.
