Welcome to the Hunter Water Website

Anna Bay TP

The treatment process at this water treatment plant involves aeration and chemical dosing.

Water is aerated by two wood slat tray aerators. After aeration, the water is chemically dosed with chlorine (for disinfection), caustic soda (for pH adjustment) and fluosilicic acid (for dental health) and lime is added for pH adjustment.

The nominal maximum capacity at the plant is 12 megalitres per day, which limited by the chemical contact time in the clear water tank and the clear water pumping capacity.
