Hunter Surf Lifesaving
Hunter Water has been a proud supporter of the Hunter Surf Lifesaving movement for over 28 years. The service the volunteers of this great organisation provide is invaluable to our beach-loving community and has helped reduce the number of lives lost in the surf each year. This year Hunter Water will remain the naming rights sponsor of the Hunter Water Support operation Unit, which consists of seven jet skis, able to perform quick rescues manoeuvring to rock shelves and perform in large seas as a vital service to the community. |

The Hunter Wetlands Centre Australia plays a central role in the conservation and management of the Shortland Wetlands with important work in environmental education and building capacity within the community. Surfest
Hunter Water has been a sponsor of Australia’s premier international surfing classic, Surfest, for over 20 years. We’re proud to continue our focus on supporting talented youth in the area and promote our stunning coastline. As well as the ‘Hunter Water Encouragement Awards’ which provide Novocastrian competitors with financial assistance, we also sponsor the ‘Stars of the Future’ award which helps young surfers prepare for careers in professional surfing. |

Peter Cullen Scholarship DECCW
The Peter Cullen Scholarship is an initiative of the NSW Office of Water. The award for PhD students was developed in honour of the late Professor Peter Cullen and aims to link science and water management in NSW. This scholarship is undertaken in partnership with other utilities such as Sydney Water, State Water, the Sydney Catchment Authority and the Wentworth Group. |
