Balickera Pump Station Upgrade

The installation of two new pumps, associated pipework, an automatic screening unit to remove waterborne weeds and associated power supply and civil works have been completed at Hunter Water's Balickera Water Pump Station. 

The increased pumping capacity will increase extraction rates from the Williams River for transfer to Grahamstown Dam and improve the drought security of the Lower Hunter Region.

Commissioning of these works is expected to be complete by September 2010. Balickera Park will re-open soon after.
