Boulder Bay WWTW Upgrade

The current Boulder Bay wastewater treatment works was constructed in 1994, and treats sewage from the townships of the Tomaree peninsular.  There has been significant population growth since that time and as that growth is expected to continue it is now necessary to upgrade the Boulder Bay treatment works.

The upgraded plant will service the Tomaree peninsular until approximately 2028.  The level of treatment will be improved such that bio-solids leaving the site can be readily used for applications such as mine site rehabilitation.  This will be achieved while remaining within the bounds of the current site and continuing to meet tight community and environmental requirements.
