Hunter Water Corporation initiated a program to review all existing Development Charges created in 2001 in accordance with the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) Determination No.9, "Development Charges from 1 October 2000" issued on 21 September 2000. The determination requires that each Agency must "review their Development Servicing Plan and Development Charges once, and no more than once in each five year period from July 1, 20001". The revised Development Service Plans were endorsed in June 2006 adn will be effective on July 1, 2006.

The Endorsed DSP documents including the charges are listed below by systems. Each sewerage system is linked to other relevant DSPs, similarly all water customers will pay a system charge plus the headworks charge. For example, if your development is in the Swansea sewerage system DSP area you will pay the following sewer development charges:

• S1.01 Swansea
• S1.00 Belmont
• S1.07 Belmont Ocean Outfall

And the following water development charges:

• W1.21 Mount Hutton
• Water Headworks
