Learning about water and the environment
At Hunter Water we do far more than just supply water and take away wastewater – we make sure that the way we work and manage our systems makes good long term sense. So we are vitally interested in the environment and are always looking for new ways to keep everyone involved in its preservation.
We encourage everyone in the community, from schools and businesses through to charities and government departments, to learn more about the environment and its resources, and assist us in maintaining our precious water supply.
We also need community help to make our projects successful - without the help of many residents and community groups it would be much more difficult for us to sustain our water supply and preserve the Hunter’s world-class water resources for future generations.
We have gathered some information to help anyone interested in our unique region to learn more about the way water and its use impacts on our life:
