Chemical Collection

Many products we use in our homes were never meant to be put in drains or sewers and need to be disposed of carefully.
Some of the things that should never go down drains include:

• Poisons
• Pesticides
• Herbicides
• Fertilisers
• Acids and Alkalis
• Solvents
• Household chemicals
• Pool chemicals.

To help our customers get rid of these products properly, Hunter Water can collect chemicals from you and ensure they are treated correctly. After we collect them we take them to a licensed storage depot where they can be recycled or disposed of properly.

This is a free service for residential customers of Hunter Water – if you are a business we may also be able to help you dispose of unwanted chemicals, but you may be charged for the collection.
